Principles to Make Personal Study Plan
制定个人学习计划，是将培养方案中属于学生本人研究方向的课程，选出作为本人就读全程的课程总清单。
This is to make the complete curriculum including a list of all the courses for the whole study period time according to the student’s personal research direction as per the education plan.
一、个人学习计划制定流程 How to make personal study plan
查看本专业培养方案→选择研究方向（新生进校前已作统一关联，无须选择，跳过）→选择相应课程→提交→选课。每一步的具体操作办法请参考附件《个人学习计划制定要求说明及系统操作手册》。
Please first check the education plan of your major---choose research direction（skip it as it is already connected automatically for students of 2018）-- choose relevant courses—save—turn in—select classes. For detailed instructions, please check “Manual and system operational handbook for requirements of making personal study plan” as attached.
二、个人学习计划调整流程 Personal study plan adjustment
因课程停开、取消调整等原因不能执行原个人学习计划者，可向培养单位申请调整学习计划，经培养单位通过后，可以上系统调整个人学习计划。已经开课的课程或已获成绩的课程不能调整。
If the personal study plan could NOT be executed due to course suspension or cancel, please apply to adjust it. When it is approved by the school or department, please enter the website system to change the personal study plan accordingly. The courses started or finished cannot be adjusted.
三、查看培养方案Check education plan
1、每位研究生均会对应一个培养方案，该培养方案可以在“培养方案”中查看。
Every graduate student of MA or PhD has an individual education plan which is shown in “education plan” on the website.
2、培养方案分为文字部分和课程部分。文字部分体现本专业的学术思想和培养要求，课程部分列明了就读全程所需修读的相关课程。
3、Education plan has literary part and course part. Literary part explains academic philosophy and education requirements while courses part has listed all the relevant courses of the degree.
4、选择研究方向 Research Direction Choice
2020级研究生均已根据录取情况完成了方向选择，可跳过。
2020 class graduate students’ directions have been automatically selectied by the system according to you admission, please skip this step.
五、选择相应课程（选择本人学习计划中的课程）Course selection（as per personal study plan）
1、个人学习计划的制订以本专业的培养方案为基础，也是将来作为毕业时课程审核的依据。若未完成个人学习计划内的课程，则无法顺利毕业，因此不建议在个人学习计划中添加与毕业要求无关的课程。
The student’s personal study plan is based on its major education direction. It is also the basis for the graduation evaluation on the courses later. If there is any course which is not completed, the student is NOT eligible to graduate. Therefore adding any extra course that is not related to graduation in the personal study plan in not recomaned.
2、培养方案中的课程凡为必修的，系统默认设置为“选择”（已标红色， 最右边第一列，不需要学生选择，也不可“退选”）。学生只须关注最右列标注为蓝色的“选修”课程即可（一般涉及到外语语种、专业基础课、补修课）。关于“选课”课程的“选择”，需注意以下几点：
Core compulsory courses included in the education plan are fixed as chosen already in the right column with red characters, so it is not necessary for the students to choose. Neither is it possible to be dropped. Please pay attention to the BLUE elective courses in it. Please pay attention to below for choosing courses:
（1） 基于美术学院教学的特点，存在大量的跨学期同名连开课，该类课程在纸质培养方案中显示为一门课（注明连开学期），但在系统中显示多门课（具体门数即为该课连开的学期数），如系本人应修读的课程（查看“备注”信息）， 则这四门均应选择，注意不要遗漏。
There are a lot of courses which have the same course name and will be given continuously for more than one term due to the nature of an art school. In the written education plan paper, they are shown as one course with notes of more than one term. However in the website system it is shown as more than one course. The numbers of courses under the same name means how many terms it is given. If this happens to your course, please choose as many terms as it is shown（e.g. 4courses）in the website. Make sure NOT to miss it.
例如：壁画系的专业基础课《壁画创作与理论研究》连开四学期，在系统中显示为同名的“四门课”，即《壁画创作与理论研究》（四学期的课程编号分
别为：33022A045、33022B045、33022C045、33022D045。制定学习计划时，不应遗漏。
For example:
The course Wall Painting and Theory Research is given in four terms. It is shown as four courses of the same name with codes of 33022A045, 33022B045, 33022C045, 33022D045. Please be sure to select all the four of them.
（2） 公共必修课。学校只提供英语和日语两种外语课教学，学生任选其一。自 2020 级起，硕博英语语种修读《研究生基础英语》（课程编号13090Z020）和《研究生英语综合应用》（课程编号 13090Z021），硕博日语语种修读《日语 Ⅰ》（课程编号 10000A015）和《日语Ⅱ》（课程编号10000B015）。
Compulsory General Courses
CAA offers Japanese and English as foreign languages. Please choose one of them. Academic English for MA as well as English Listening & Speaking are compulsory for graduate students of MA. They are both given in two terms and shown altogether four courses in the website system as Academic English for MA coded as 10002A008 & 10002B008 while 10002A009 & 10002B009 are for English Listening & Speaking. Those whose foreign language is English MUST select them all. Others whose foreign language is Japanese, please pick it up with code 10000Z015.
First year International Students will be offered Chinese language class instead.
（3） 专业必修课和必修环节的“课程”选择，请注意查看课程“备注” 栏的附加说明，不要选错。
Compulsory Core Courses
Please pay attention to the attached explanation in course NOTES before selection.
再如，上述壁画系的专业基础课《壁画创作与理论研究》，该课并列列在绘画艺术学院的四个系的多门专业基础课之中，设置为“选修”，同时备注壁画必修，即壁画系的同学，应将上述四个学期的课全部点击“选择”。其他系的同学，则可以不选。
For example:
The course Wall Painting and Theory Research is given for multiple majors and listed as “elective” with a note that for Wall Painting major is compulsory. Thus for Wall Painting major students, please select all the four of them. Other majors students can choose to select or not based on personal need.
六、补修课 Supplementary courses
在学校规定的补修范围内且培养方案要求补修的学生，必须将补修课列入本人学习计划。学校认定的补修范围为同等学力升学、跨一级学科录取两类，具体可咨询各培养单位教学秘书。导师认定的补修范围按导师要求执行。
For those whose supplementary courses required by CAA or their own education plan, it is a MUST to include supplementary courses in the personal study plan. Those enter with equivalent educational level or cross-disciplinary as defined by CAA, please consult with your education school or department. The supplementary courses confirmed by the tutor MUST be taken.
七、外语免修 Foreign Language Exemption
1、已达到外语中免修条件的同学，应先将应修读的必修外语课程纳入个人学习计划，再申请外语免修，程序不能颠倒，否则无法认定免修成绩。
Those who are qualified to be exempted for foreign language MUST include it in your personal study plan FIRST. Then please apply for foreign language exemption. This is the correct procedure. Otherwise the exemption mark can NOT be input in the website system.
2、若符合外语免修条件，在保存“学习计划”后，可在“我的课程”中点击“外语免修”按纽，提出免修申请。免修审核通过后自动获得学分和成绩。详细事项见研究生处关于外语免修申请的通知。
Those who are qualified to be exempted for foreign language, after saving “personal study plan”, please click “foreign language exemption” in “my courses” and apply for exemption. For details, including grades recieved after exemption, please check notes of foreign language exemption for graduate students of MA or PhD.
八、特别说明 Special Notes
（1）个人学习计划可以修改。若发现有遗漏或错误，后续可以通过再次“ 提交”进行修改。个人学习计划不单设“修改”按钮，保存之后，再次点击“提交”即为“修改”。院系没有审核之前，可以多次“提交”。
Personal study plan is adjustable. If some mistakes or missing part are found, please turn-in a second time to adjust it. There is NO “adjust” click in the personal study plan. After “save”, click “turn-in” again, and it is adjusted. It may be presented multiple times before it is verified by CAA and school.
（2）为保证本学期初能够正常选课，须先“提交”个人学习计划（已提交，学院未审核状态即可选课）。
In order to make it sure that normal selection for 2018 autumn term is going on smooth, it is a MUST to first “turn-in” your personal study plan.（When it is presented, course selection is available. It is NOT necessary to wait for CAA checking to pass.）
（3）2020 级创新设计学院培养方案关联后未显示专业方向课的课程内容， 可咨询院系教学秘书，但不影响公共课选课。
For 2020 class students from the School of Design and Innovation, once education plan is linked, Compulsory Core may not shown in the website system, please contact the Teaching Secretary for Graduate Students of MA or PhD, but it i will not affect the selection of general courses.
