Notice of the China Academy of Art Annual valuation for the Chinese Government Scholarship for 2022


In accordance with the "Measures for the Administration of Chinese Government Scholarship Work" (No. 1 of 2020) and the relevant requirements of the "Annual Evaluation of Chinese Government Scholarship", we hereby notify the following about the annual evaluation of Chinese Government Scholarship in 2022.

I. Subject of the review

The annual evaluation is open to all students who are on full or partial scholarship of the Chinese government, including students on extended study (including undergraduate students, master students, doctoral students, general advanced students, advanced students, etc.), and students who were suspended from scholarship status after failing the evaluation in the previous year. (See Annex 1 for a detailed list)

Notes:

1、The Chinese government scholarship students who intend to graduate this year are not subject to this annual review.

2. Students who are suspended from school due to the Covid epidemic or other reasons and suffering communication difficulties may not participate in this annual review.

   II.Review content

1、Moral conduct: abide by the laws of China and the discipline of the China Academy of Art, and respect teachers and supervisors.

2、Academic Performance: examinations and test transcripts of all subjects from March 2021 to January 2022.

3、Study/Research Attitude: the evaluation of academic performance  is based on the implementation rules of China Academy of Art students' academic records, combined with the evaluation of tutors, and the progress of the professional research.

4、Activity performance: participation in school visits to the countryside and on and off-campus activities.

 

   III.Criteria and scoring rules

Each student will be quantitatively scored and qualitatively evaluated based on four areas: Moral conduct, Academic Performance, Study/Research Attitude, and Activity performance for the 2021-2022 academic year. Those with a total score of 60 or above are considered qualified. The specific evaluation criteria and scoring rules are as follows.

1、Moral conduct (out of 30 points).

(1) Criteria: Should not violated Chinese law and the discipline of China Academy of Art.

(2) Grading rules: 30 points will be deducted for violating Chinese laws. If you violate the rules and regulations of China Academy of Art, 5 points will be deducted for a "warning", 10 points for a "serious warning", and 30 points for a "demerit" or above.

2、Academic Performance (out of 30 points).

(1) Evaluation criteria: Pass or fail in the required courses (including retakes and make-up exams) in each academic year

(2) Grading rules: 30 points will be deducted for undergraduate students who fail in 2 cultural courses or 1 professional course in each semester after make-up exams and retakes; 30 points will be deducted for master's students who fail in 1 or more required courses in each academic year after make-up exams and retakes; 30 points will be deducted for doctoral students who fail in 1 required course (including make-up exams) in exams or assessments; 10 points will be deducted from each course if the course is passed after retaking; 5 points will be deducted from each course for passing grades after make-up exams. (Note: Courses that are requested to be deferred or deferred are not included in the scoring.)

3. Study/Research Attitude (out of 20 points).

(1) Evaluation criteria: “The implementation rules of academic registration management for ordinary full-time undergraduate students of China Academy of Art and “The implementation rules of academic registration management for graduate students of China Academy of Art are used as guilines. To examine the student's attendance; whether the communication with the supervisor is active; the progress of the dissertation and professional research; whether the dissertation opening report is passed.

(2) Scoring rules: 20 points will be deducted for those who meet the withdrawal criteria stipulated in the academic registration management; 20 points will be deducted for those whose attendance is less than 50%; 20 points will be deducted for those who fail to pass the thesis opening report; 10 points will be deducted for those whose attendance is less than 85%; 5 to 20 points will be deducted for those who are not actively communicating with their instructors and supervisors, those who make slow progress in their thesis and professional research, and those who are weak in scientific research, depending on the seriousness of the case and the evaluation of their supervisors. (Note: If you take a leave of absence, it will not be included in the scoring.)

4、Activity performance (out of 20 points).

(1) Evaluation criteria: the presence or absence of participation in school visits to the countryside and on and off-campus activities.

(2) Scoring rules: 10 points will be deducted for those who have not completed their visits to the countryside. (Note: Those who have experience in exhibiting or winning activities can add 5-10 points according to the level of exhibiting and winning.)

5、Anyone who refuse the annual review without any valid reason will be disqualified from continuing the privilege of the scholarship.

IV. Process of the review

The annual evaluation of the 2022 Chinese Government Scholarship is conducted online, with the following process.

1.  Students must log on to the "Chinese Government Scholarship Management System for Studying in China"(https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn/). Select the option of "csc registration number login" and login to your personal account to fill in the self-assessment. If you do not apply, you will be considered as giving up the scholarship for the next academic year.

2.  After registering your account number, select "Scholarship Annual Self-Assessment" and click "Start Filling" to complete the self-assessment. If you have any award certificates and related supporting documents, you can upload them as well. After the upload is completed, check the commitment clause and click submit. Please note that it cannot be modified after submission, so please check the student's certification before submission.

3.   Transcript download: 中国美院微服务"China Academy of Art WeChat Service" WeChat public number---Services---Self-service Self-printing, login to your account (account number: student number, password: the last six digits of your passport or 123456) to download transcripts.

(1) Undergraduate students check their grades: please log in to the WeChat applet 美研教学助手(MeiYan Teaching Assistant) - Login - Grade Inquiry, or the website of the Academic Affairs System of China Academy of Art (http://gmjw.caa.edu.cn/jwglxt; On-campus ①10.0.125.144/jwglxt; on-campus ②10.0.125.42/jwglxt) - Grade Search.

(2) Master's and doctoral students check their grades: please log in to your personal account in the graduate student system (independent login of the School of Fine Arts: http://grsinfo.caa.edu.cn/cas/oauth2.0/authorize?client_id=NpbMrtYo3um6KcLJ&redirect_uri=) http://grsinfo.caa.edu.cn/allogene/page/home.htm&response_type=code), in "Cultivation---Grade Management --Transcripts".

V. Deadline

Students are required to complete and submit the individual system by April 27, 2022.

Note: Please log in to the"Chinese Government Scholarship Management System for Studying in China" with your registered email and password when applying for the scholarship. If you forget your password, please contact Teacher Luan or Sun of International College to reset it.
