China Academy of Art (CAA) welcomes international students to apply for the non-degree Chinese language training courses. The courses are taught in the International College, located at the beautiful Xiangshan campus of CAA. With a conscientious and expert teaching team, we provide every student with a high-quality learning experience.
I. Enrollment targets
The courses are aimed at non-Chinese citizens.
II. Way of teaching
On-site teaching is conducted. International students who complete the whole course and pass the final assessment will acquire a certificate of non-degree Chinese learning from the International College of CAA.
Reminder: a new class will not be open until six or more students are enrolled.
III. Application timeline
1.The spring semester of the academic year 2024-2025 is from March to June 2025, and the deadline for its application is December 25, 2024.
2.The whole period of the academic year 2025-2026 is from September 2025 to June 2026, and students who plan to join the whole one-year program may apply from early March to June 13, 2025.
IV. Course types
1. Chinese for Beginners
The class of Chinese for Beginners is available for international students who have no basic knowledge of Chinese language. The class focuses on comprehensive lessons, supplemented by speaking and listening lessons, with 20 teaching periods each week. It is aimed at exercising students in Chinese skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.
2. Elementary Chinese
The class of Elementary Chinese is available for international students who are at the level of HSK3. With 20 teaching periods each week, the class features comprehensive lessons as the major part, supplemented with speaking lessons. It is aimed at exercising students in vocabulary, grammar and language expression.
3. Intermediate Chinese
The class of Intermediate Chinese is available for international students who are at or higher than the level of HSK 4. With 20 teaching periods each week, the class features comprehensive lessons as the major part, supplemented with reading, writing and HSK5 tutorial lessons. It is aimed at exercising students in vocabulary, grammar, language expression, reading, writing and other abilities.
V. Way of application

VI. Fee
Application fee: CNY800. Non-refundable regardless of acceptance or not.
Textbook fee: CNY200 per semester.
Tuition fee: CNY10000 per academic semester.
