Department of Graphic Design

Before the students are grouped into different studios, they are required to take the following courses within their first three semesters: Overview of Art Design, Graphic Language, Type Design, Design and Layout, Illustration, Photography, Logo Design, Printing Technology and Specialized Computers, Package Design, Poster Design, Book Design, Corporate Identity Design, etc.

Studio of Graphic Design

Courses include: Paper Products and Branding, Photography and Design Carriers, Visual Image and Space, Design Methodology, Design Workshop, Design Project, Undergraduate Internship, Graduation Project, Graduation Thesis, etc.

Studio of Multi-dimensional Design

Courses include: Project Presentation, Investigation Methodology, Multi-dimensional Design and Strategy, Multi-Dimensional Communication, Undergraduate Internship, Graduation Project, Graduation Thesis, etc.

Studio of Brand Design

Courses include: Brand Promotion Design, Interactive Multimedia Advertisement, Design and Operation Workshop, Advertisement Planning and Design, Brand Display Design, Undergraduate Internship, Graduation Project, Graduation Thesis, etc.

Studio of Publications Design

Courses include: Introduction to Publications, Publications Design, Undergraduate Internship, Graduation Project, Graduation Thesis, etc. 

Department of Textile and Fashion Design

Courses include: Ready-Made Clothing Design, Women’s Wear Design, Men’s Wear Design, Study of Classical Chinese and Foreign Cloth Patterns, Integrated Design of Fabric and Clothing, etc. 

Department of Conceptualized Design

Courses include: Language of Forms, Design Projects, Regional Planning and Design Project, Experimental Concept Development, Creative Practical Design, etc. 

Department of Exhibition Design

Courses include: Visual Space of Exhibitions, New Media Presentation Design, Management of Exhibition Design, Exhibition Planning and Creative Design, Exhibition Design Project, etc.

A: Foundational Courses

Engineering Drawing, Vocational Drawing, Material and Technology (wood), Material and Technology (metal), Material and Technology (resin), Comprehensive Structure, CAD, Product Design 1 (Procedure and Methods), Product Design 2 (Integrated Design), Product Design 3 (Systematic Design), Architectural Drawing Workshop, Ergonomics, Psychology of Design, History of Industrial Design, etc.

B: Specialty courses

Products and Dwelling: Style Design, Space and Furniture, Furniture Design, Sustainable Design

Products and Leisure: Product Semantics, Experiential Design, Branding and Service, Design Service

Products and Communication: Perceptive Ergonomics, Interactive Design, Interface Design, Universal Design

Products and Mobility: Device Operation Design, Reverse Engineering Design, Vehicle Design, System and Space 

Department of Color Design

Courses include: Color Language, Color Design Project, Color Investigation Methods, Color Material and Spatial Presentation, Conceptual Design of Color Themes, etc. 

Department of Artistic Design

Courses include: Theory and Practice of Graphic Design, Theory and Practice of Spatial Presentation Design, Theory and Practice of Product Design, Cartography, Computer Theory and Software Application, Brief History of Chinese and Foreign Cultures, History of Chinese and Foreign Design, Overview of Design Studies, Intellectual History of Ancient Chinese Crafts, Overview of Folklore Studies, Archaeology and Museology, Psychology of Design, Aesthetics of Design, Criticism of Design, Planning and Management of Design, etc.
