China Academy of Art (CAA) (Agency No.: 10355), founded in 1928, is a comprehensive college of fine art with complete academic specialties and one of the earliest universities recruiting graduate students. It stays committed to the path of building a world first-class art university embodying the highest level of research and education on Chinese culture and fine art. Currently CAA mainly bases in Hangzhou encompassing campuses of Nanshan, Xiangshan, Liangzhu, and Xianghu.
Now, CAA is authorized to grant two academic PhD degrees of Art as well as Design, and three professional Doctorate degrees of Fine Arts and Calligraphy, Drama and Film, and Design.
It is authorized to grant academic master’s degrees of Art, Design and Architecture and professional master’s degrees of Fine Arts and Calligraphy, Design, Drama and Film, Culture Relics and Landscape Architecture.
Among the undergraduate majors, 26 majors, namely Chinese Painting, Calligraphy, Painting, Sculpture, Intermedia Art, Art Theory, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Visual Communication Design, Apparel & Fashion Design, Ceramic Art Design, Animation, Art and Science and Technology, Product Design, Fine Arts, Art Design, Industrial Art, Industrial Design, Photography, Broadcasting and TV Direction, Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Relics, Fiber Art, Digital Media Art, Environmental Design, Pubic Art, Film and TV Photography and Production, have been approved of being built to be the national first-class undergraduate disciplines and specialties. Art Management and Art Design in Filming and Theater have been approved of being built to be the top undergraduate disciplines and specialties across Zhejiang Province.
I. Program Introduction
In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign young generation, and to build a platform for the exchange of scientific research young talents in the world, China Scholarship Council (CSC) carries out China Link Short-term Scientific Exchange Scholarship Program (referred to as China Link Scholarship) in 2025 so as to support talented foreign students and scholars for short-term research in China (between one to twelve months).
II.Funding Categories
General scholar: applicable to current full-time undergraduates or graduates.
Senior scholar: applicable to current full-time Ph. D candidates or faculties
III. Duration
1-12 months
IV.Eligibility
1. Be a citizen of a country other than the People's Republic of China and be in good health both mentally and physically.
2. Be under 45 applying for general scholars.
Be under 50 applying for senior scholars.
3. Register as full-time student or employed as full-time academic staff at CSC's foreign partner university by the time of application and throughout the proposed stay in China.

VI. Funding
Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship from CSC during their stay in China, including tuition waiver, free on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance and monthly stipend (CNY 3,000 for general scholars; CNY 3,500 for senior scholars).

VIII. Admission and Enrollment
1. CAA submits scholarship nomination list to CSC.
2. CSC notifies scholarship admission result and CAA informs applicants the result in the CAA International Student Service System.
3. The Autumn semester starts in September and the spring semester starts in March.
