The International College of China Academy of Art(University Code 10355) offers non-degree Chinese language and culture courses year-round. Classes are held at the picturesque Xiangshan Campus. Our teaching team is experienced and rigorous in instruction, committed to providing every student with a high-quality learning experience.
I. Target Applicants
The courses are aimed at non-Chinese citizens.
II. Teaching Method
On-site teaching is conducted. International students who complete the entire curriculum as required and pass the assessments will receive a Chinese Language Program Certificate issued by the International College of China Academy of Art.
III. Application Deadline
(1) One-Semester Programs
1. Spring Semester 2025-2026 Academic Year: Class dates are from March 9, 2026, to July 10, 2026. The application deadline has been extended to December 19, 2025.
2. Fall Semester 2026-2027 Academic Year: Class dates are from September 2026 to early January 2027. Applications are accepted from now until June 1, 2026.
Note: The Spring Semester only accepts applications for the Beginner Level and Intermediate Level Chinese classes.
(2) One-Academic-Year Program
Chinese Language Program (Fall Enrollment): Class dates are from September 2026 to early January 2027 (First Semester), and from March 2027 to early July 2027 (Second Semester). Applications are accepted from now until June 1, 2026.
IV. Course categories
(1) Beginner-Level Chinese Class
Designed for students with no prior knowledge of Chinese. Teaching focuses on comprehensive Chinese courses, supplemented by speaking and listening classes, with 20 teaching periods per week. Aims to train students’ basic Chinese skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
(2) Elementary-Level Chinese Class
Designed for students who already possess HSK Level 3 or equivalent proficiency, with 20 teaching periods per week. Teaching focuses on comprehensive courses, supplemented by speaking classes, providing systematic instruction in vocabulary, grammar, and language expression.
(3) Intermediate-Level Chinese Class
Designed for students who already possess HSK Level 4 or above proficiency. Teaching focuses on comprehensive courses, supplemented by reading, writing and HSK Level 5 tutorial classes, with 20 teaching periods per week. Aims to train students in vocabulary, grammar knowledge, paragraph-length language expression, reading and writing abilities.
V. Program Features
(1) Comprehensive Language Skills Enhancement
1. Small class sizes are implemented, emphasizing personalized guidance to systematically improve comprehensive Chinese application skills, enabling students to reach a level of fluency in using Chinese in daily study, life, and work.
2. The curriculum system is scientifically aligned with HSK levels, assisting students in successfully passing the target level exams and providing authoritative language certification for applying to Chinese universities or seeking employment.
(2) Cross-Cultural Communication Skills & In-Depth Cultural Experience
1. Building on language learning, deeply integrates Chinese cultural education, covering historical heritage, social customs, and contemporary development, helping students overcome cultural barriers and truly integrate into life in China.
2. Offers diverse and rich elective cultural and art courses during the semester, covering calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, traditional handicrafts, etc., delivered through various formats like lectures, artistic practice, and off-campus visits, progressing step by step, combining learning with practice, and continuously expanding students’ cultural horizons and artistic perception.

VI. Application Qualifications
(1) Non-Chinese citizens aged between 18 and 65, in good physical and mental health, law-abiding (free from infectious diseases and physical or mental illnesses affecting normal study), of good character and academic performance, friendly towards China, with no criminal record.
(2) High school graduate or possessing equivalent educational background.
(3) Students who have already studied in language programs in China for more than 2 years cannot apply for this program.
VII. Application Method and Steps
(1) Applications are only accepted through the CAA International Student Service System(https://caa.at0086.cn/StuApplication/Login.aspx). Complete the online application and upload all required application materials. The school may request applicants to provide supplementary materials as needed.
(2) Applicants can check their application results by logging into the application system.
(3) Pre-admitted students must pay the tuition fee within the time specified by the school.
VIII. Application Materials
(1) Application fee transfer proof (refer to the Remittance Notes).
(2) Complete the “China Academy of Art International Student Application Integrity Commitment Letter” within the application system.
(3) Scanned copy of the personal information page of your passport. Please ensure the submitted passport is your most recent one. Once admitted, the passport information cannot be changed until enrollment registration is completed.
(4) Electronic version of a recent, front-facing, color, bareheaded ID photo (Format: JPG, 2-inch, 3.5cm×5.3cm, white background without borders, head should occupy 2/3 of the photo size, not less than 320*240 pixels, aspect ratio 4:3, file size 100-500KB).
(5) Applicants who acquired foreign citizenship at birth abroad, and both parents were Chinese citizens, or one parent was a Chinese citizen at the time of the applicant’s birth, must submit: 1. Proof of the applicant acquiring foreign citizenship at birth; 2. Proof of cancellation of Chinese nationality, or proof of permanent residence abroad of the parent(s) (the Chinese citizen side) before the applicant’s birth.
(6) Individuals who have emigrated from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, or Taiwan and acquired foreign citizenship, applying as international students, must submit proof of cancellation of Chinese nationality according to the relevant regulations of the Ministry of Education.
(7) Notarized high school graduation certificate (highest academic qualification proof). Prospective high school graduates must submit an expected graduation certificate or study certificate issued by their current school (must bear the school seal). After admission, the original or notarized high school graduation certificate (in Chinese or English) must be submitted.
(8) Notarized academic transcript for the highest qualification. If the student has prior study experience in China, please submit relevant school proof and a certificate showing an attendance rate of 85% or higher for the courses.
(9) Self-introduction video, including motivation for study and study plan in China.
(10) Scanned copy of the “Foreigner Physical Examination Form” (this form is uniformly printed by Chinese health and quarantine authorities, must be completed in Chinese or English). Applicants must strictly follow the required items for examination. Forms missing items, without a photo attached or without a stamped photo overlap, or without the physician’s and hospital’s signatures and stamps are invalid. (11) Non-criminal record certificate. Submit a valid non-criminal record certificate issued by the local public security authorities, typically dated within 6 months prior to the application submission date.
IX. Related Fees
(1) Application Fee: RMB800 per application. Non-refundable once submitted. If a student postpones to the next semester for personal reasons and reapplies, the application fee must be paid again.
(2) Tuition Fee: RMB10000 per semester, RMB16000 per academic year.
(3) Material Fee: RMB200 per semester, RMB400 per academic year.

Remittance Notes:
1. Remarks: When making a remittance, must indicate the name and fee type in the format “Passport Name + Fee Name (e.g., Application Fee/Tuition Fee, etc.)”. If character space is limited, input key information.
2. Overseas Remittance: The school will verify fees based on the actual RMB amount received. If the received amount is insufficient due to bank charges, the applicant needs to pay the difference.

XII. Other Important Notes
(1) After enrollment, the university will conduct reviews of physical/mental health status and application materials. Those who do not meet the conditions will have their admission eligibility revoked. If fraud or malpractice is confirmed, the student status will be canceled.
