China Academy of Art (Agency Code: 10355), founded in 1928, is one of China’s earliest higher education institutions to offer postgraduate education. It is currently designated as a national “Double First-Class” university. Adhering to the mission of “building a world-class academy of art that represents the highest level of Chinese cultural art research and education,” the university’s main campus is located in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, with additional campuses at Nanshan, Xiangshan, Liangzhu, and Xianghu.
The university currently offers two academic doctoral programs in subjects of Art and Design Studies, as well as three professional doctoral programs in subjects of Fine Arts and Calligraphy, Drama and Film, and Design.
It also provides three academic master’s programs in Art, Design, and Architecture Studies, along with five professional master's programs in Fine Arts and Calligraphy, Design, Drama and Film Studies, Cultural Heritage, and Landscape Architecture.
At the undergraduate level, 26 programs have been approved as national first-class undergraduate programs: Chinese Painting, Calligraphy, Painting, Sculpture, Intermedia Art, Art History, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, Visual Communication Design, Fashion and Apparel Design, Ceramic Art Design, Animation, Art and Technology, Product Design, Fine Arts, Art and Design Studies, Crafts Art, Industrial Design, Photography, Radio and Television Directing, Cultural Heritage Conservation and Restoration, Fiber Art, Digital Media Art, Environmental Design, Public Art, and Film and Television Production. Additionally, two programs, Art Management and Drama&Film Art Design, have been approved as provincial first-class undergraduate programs.
I. Program Introduction
In order to deepen the academic friendship and mutual understanding between Chinese and foreign young generation, and to build a world platform for talented young researchers in the world, China Scholarship Council (CSC) carries out China Link Short-term Academic Exchange Scholarship Program (referred to as China Link Scholarship).
II.Funding Categories
General Scholar: applicable to current full-time undergraduate and master’s students from overseas partner universities of the China Scholarship Council (CSC).
Senior Scholar: applicable to current full-time Ph. D candidates or faculties from overseas partner universities of the China Scholarship Council (CSC).
III. Duration
1-12 months
IV.Eligibility
1. Be a non-Chinese citizen and be in good health both mentally and physically.
2. Be under 45 applying for general scholars. Be under 50 applying for senior scholars.
3. Register as full-time student or employed as full-time academic staff at CSC's foreign partner university by the time of application and throughout the proposed stay in China. Please refer to Foreign University List (Appendix 1).

4.The exchange programs in China must start no later than August 31, 2027.
5.Have obtained admission qualification from CAA non-degree programs.

VI. Funding
Successful applicants will receive a full scholarship from CSC during their stay in China, including tuition waiver, free on-campus accommodation, comprehensive medical insurance and monthly stipend (CNY3,000 for general scholars; CNY3,500 for senior scholars).

VIII. Admission and Enrollment
1. CAA submits scholarship nomination list to CSC.
2. CSC notifies scholarship admission result and CAA informs applicants the result in the CAA International Student Service System.
3. The Autumn semester starts in September 2026 and the spring semester starts in March 2027 .
IX.Fees and Bank Transfer
1. Application fee: CNY800 per major. Non-refundable. Please note “the passport name+application fee”.
2. Fee of power and other fees will be charged upon enrollment.
